There is a lot of controversy these days regarding magnetism and mechanical watches. The truth is we are surrounded by magnets, cell phones, appliances and even our cars have magnets in them.

For many years, Watch manufacturers have been working to improve and innovate the materials they use to battle these issues with magnetism.

Small exposures to magnetism will not affect your mechanical Watch, however, if it does get magnetized it will cause your watch to run erratically and even stop. 

A trip to your local watchmaker can perform a quick demagnetizing procedure and get your watch back on track,
